NFL Draft

The latest name on the long list of probable QB picks for the Packers is Chris Simms.<P>

Simms, a 6-3, 225 pound Texas Longhorn field general is another QB who saw his stock rise after his performance at last week's NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Coming in, it looked like a second or third round spot was likely for Simms. The QB had a good career at Texas, but didn't quite live up to the hype he generated when he ditched Tennessee for the Lone Star State as a top prep prospect.

Broadcast reports Tuesday and Wednesday said the Packers expressed interest in Simms.
