Notes

  • The running back position dominates this injury list with the Panthers top two backs (DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart) yet to practice this week. Fozzy Whitaker was able to get some practice in after not being able to practice yesterday. It is going to be very interesting to see who gets the start at the position on Sunday, assuming Williams and Stewart are not able to go.
  • The defensive line has a number of players on this report as well but Dwan Edwards returned to practice after missing yesterday. Charles Johnson has not practiced yet this week but according to this tweet by Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer, Ron Rivera expects him ready to go for Sunday.
  • The encouraging sign from this injury report is for the second straight day linebacker Thomas Davis was able to go through a full practice. It looks like he will be back on Sunday, which should be a huge boost to this defense.
