Notes

  • The Panthers are going to be shorthanded on Sunday in the secondary but luckily for them they will not have to worry about Bengals' wide receiver A.J. Green, who has already been ruled out for Sunday. Both Josh Norman and Bene Benwikere have been ruled out for Carolina, which means an increase in playing time for Melvin White and Charles Godfrey.
  • The team got two big names back in practice with tight end Greg Olsen and defensive end Charles Johnson participating on a limited basis Friday. Both players missed practice on Thursday, so the fact they were able to get some time in on Friday is a good sign for Sunday.
  • The best sign on Friday was that Jonathan Stewart was able to get on the practice field for the second straight day. This is a good sign considering that DeAngelo Williams has already been ruled out for the second consecutive game. If Stewart is not able to go, Darrin Reaves would be in line for his second consecutive start.
