Notes

  • It is important to not read into all the changes in percentage from a week ago, due in large part to the fact that starters were pulled towards the end of the game with it being a blowout.
  • Andrew Norwell, the undrafted rookie guard, got his first NFL start and played the entire game. For his first NFL start, he played rather well and held his own against a solid Seattle defensive line. It would not be surprising to see him continue to get playing time.
  • The offensive line struggles should fall mostly on the tackles shoulders with a lot of the pressure coming off the edge. This was due in part to Nate Chandler having to come out of the game being replaced by rookie tackle David Foucault, who played half the game.

Notes

  • After missing two straight games, Josh Norman was healthy enough to return the field and played the entire game at the cornerback position. This pushed Melvin White down the depth chart, who against Green Bay played every snap, did not get a single look against Seattle.
  • Another change in the secondary was the increased snaps for rookie Tre Boston, who saw his first action of the year at safety last week. He saw his role increase even more against Seattle, after he had to fill in for an injured Thomas Decoud. It wasn’t all good for the rookie though, as he was the defender on Luke Willson’s touchdown catch at the end of the game.
