- The bye week did the Panthers good with only two players missing practice. Defensive tackle Star Lotulelei continues to deal with an ankle injury suffered in Week 10 and looks unlikely to go on Sunday. Wide receiver Philly Brown also ended up on the injury list due to an illness and should hopefully be healthy enough to go Sunday. The Panthers released Jason Avant last week with the thought of Brown and his speed would be ready to see an increased role in the offense.
- Against the Vikings, the Panthers should get two key players back who have missed a majority of the season. Nickelback Bene Benwikere has been battling an ankle injury for some time but was a full participant in practice Wednesday. On the offensive side of the ball, Mike Tolbert looks ready to return from a hairline fracture in his leg suffered back in September. He was placed on the injured reserve-designated to return list and is eligible to return this Sunday against Minnesota.
