Notes

  • As expected, Amini Silatolu and DeAngelo Williams were both ruled out today for Week 14 against the Saints. At this point in the season, Silatolu would have most likely been in a back-up role for this game anyway but the absence of Williams will have a much bigger impact on this offense. Running back Jonathan Stewart is expected to pick up the majority of the work with Williams absence but Fozzy Whittaker could also see an increase in his touches.
  • After missing at least one practice this week, the Panthers saw the return of Mario Addison, Kony Ealy, Ryan Kalil and Star Lotulelei to practice on Friday. All four are now listed as probable for Sunday's game with Lotulelei making his return after missing the last three games. The big defensive tackle hurt his ankle in Week 9 against these very Saints and should help to improve the play of the defensive line.
