Notes

  • The big news from practice today was the return of Cam Newton, who has not been able to practice since his car accident last week. The return doesn't automatically guarantee that Newton will play on Sunday against the Browns and Derek Anderson told the media today that the two quarterbacks split first-team reps, according to this tweet by the Panthers.
  • Linebacker Thomas Davis also made this list with a knee injury suffered in the second half agaisnt the Bucs. However, he was able to return in that game and was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. Barring any kind of setback, he should be ready to go Sunday.
