The Carolina Panthers announced their preseason schedule and the team will face three of their four opponents from a season ago.
|1||at Buffalo Bills|
|3||New England Patriots|
|4||at Pittsburgh Steelers|
The Panthers will face three AFC East opponents to start the preseason. Similar to last year, they will face the Buffalo Bills the first week of preseason. However, this year the game will be on the road, the first time this has happened since 2010.
They will have two home games against Miami as well as New England before closing out the preseason in Pittsburgh against the Steelers. This will be the 13th year the Panthers have faced the Steelers in the last preseason game however this year will have a little different meaning as it will be the first game they face former Panther DeAngelo Williams.
This certainly won't have the same feel as the "Blood and Guts" game from a season ago when they face Steve Smith Sr. in Baltimore. Generally the last preseason game is not one of importance to veterans but rather a game you hope to make it out of without injury. For Williams though he may run a little harder in the little bit that he would play to prove something to Carolina.
