There is at least one publication that believes the Carolina Panthers will make some noise in 2015. The USA TODAY Sports announced their projections for the 2015 season and they picked the Panthers to finish 11-5 and win their third consecutive NFC South title.
In the article they wrote about the Panthers: “Cam Newton is healthy from a mind, body and bank account perspective. He and his formidable defense will also face just four playoff teams from last season.”
The Panthers on paper look to have a rather easy schedule starting out the season with games against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However the team has a tough stretch coming out of their bye week in Week 5. Four of the playoff teams from the 2014 season mentioned above they will face three of them over a four week period from Week 6 to Week 9.
Even though the Panthers were selected to make the playoffs again, they weren’t expected to make it very far. The team was predicted to finish third in the NFC and lose to the St. Louis Rams in the Wild Card Round.
