Notes

  • The Panthers are most likely only going to be without one starter on Sunday with defensive tackle Star Lotulelei already ruled out. The former first round pick seemed like a longshot to play after he missed almost the entire preseason with a foot injury and did not practice at all this week. He will replaced by Kyle Love in the starting lineup.
  • The good news from practice today is that Ryan Kalil was listed as probable and looks likely to play. However, it may be in a limited capacity as head coach Ron Rivera said, according to Panthers.com’s Bryan Strickland, that starting right tackle Mike Remmers could fill in at times to lighten Kalil’s workload. Rookie Daryl Willliams would step in at right tackle when Remmers slides to the middle.
  • The best news though is that cornerback Josh Norman has cleared the concussion protocol and will be ready to go Sunday without restrictions. The team’s number one cornerback is the most important player in this secondary and will be expected to shut down the Jaguars number one option, Allen Robinson.
