- The Panthers got Jonathan Stewart and Dwan Edwards back to practice on Thursday after they sat out Wednesday. Both were full participants and the coaching staff gave both vet days yesterday to try and keep them as fresh as possible. This will most likely be a regular thing going forward this season.
- Another good sign was the fact that Star Lotulelei was able to get back onto the practice field on Thursday after practicing for the first time in over a month yesterday. He has been dealing with a foot injury and the fact that he was able to practice two days in a row bodes well for his availability Sunday. The Panthers are lucky that they can ease him back thanks to the depth they have at the position.
- Once again Luke Kuechly was not able to practice on Thursday as he works through the concussion protocol. Coach Ron Rivera has already said he is not concerned about Kuechly not practicing but Sunday is quickly approaching. The concussion protocol is not something that can be fast forwarded or skipped. If Kuechly is able to clear the protocol he will be out on the field against the Texans. It just remains to be unseen at this point if that will happen.
