Notes

  • Carolina Panthers’ defensive tackle Star Lotulelei was able to practice every day this week, even though it was in a limited capacity. This is a good sign for a player who has been out for over a month. He was listed as questionable on the injury report and I would expect he plays but on a snap count.
  • The Panthers also welcomed back to the practice field on Friday tight end Rickie Brockel, who has been battling a shoulder injury. He was forced to sit out last week against the Jaguars but could be a huge asset against the Texans. He is an excellent blocker and could see plenty of playing time trying to help slow down J.J. Watt if he is able to play.
  • The player who is least likely to play is linebacker Luke Kuechly. He was at practice on Friday but was listed as doubtful on the injury report. A player who is doubtful is considered to have a 25% chance of playing. Kuechly is still working through the concussion protocol and will need to be cleared before he is eligible to play.
