·         It was another lengthy list of players who missed practice on Thursday for the Carolina Panthers. The running back position was the hardest hit as both Jonathan Stewart and Mike Tolbert missed the entire practice. The coaching staff may err on the side of caution with these two for this week against the Bucs with the bye week next week. If that’s the case the team will turn to Fozzy Whittaker, Cameron Artis-Payne and even possibly Brandon Wegher to spark this run game.

·         The Panthers also were without both starting cornerbacks for practice on Thursday with Charles Tillman sitting out for a veteran day and Josh Norman missing practice due to a personal day. Ron Rivera did not elaborate on why he missed the practice but the good news is that neither missed due to injury and this should not affect their availability Sunday.

·         One position that looks a little more unsettled is the linebacker position. Middle linebacker Luke Kuechly is still in the protocol and at this point it might make sense to keep him out and give him two more weeks to get completely healthy and be ready for the rest of 2015. Outside linebacker Thomas Davis has a pectoral injury that limited him on Wednesday but he was able to fully participate on Thursday.
