- Once again the Carolina Panthers had four played sit out on practice Thursday which included Richie Brockel, Dwan Edwards, Shaq Thompson and Daryl Williams. While it hasn't been made official, I would expect none of these four to be available this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
- The positive news though was that defensive end Jared Allen and cornerback Teddy Williams were both full participants in practice on Thursday after being limited the day before. Allen missed last week's game due to a back injury and looks ready to go against the Eagles. It remains to be seen just how much he will play as coach Ron Rivera was hesitant to name him the starter after practice on Thursday. This certainly is a little surprising, even though the Panthers' defensive ends had a strong game against Seattle. I would expect to see Allen on the field plenty, even if he is not named the starter Sunday night.
