- There wasn't any huge surprises for the Carolina Panthers inactives in Week 7 as the team had ruled four out for this week's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Outside linebacker Shaq Thompson certainly is the player that will be missed the most as he has improved over the past few weeks and was seeing significant playing time in this defense. The positive is that the Panthers get his replacement back this week as A.J. Klein returns from the concussion protocol that kept him out of last week's game.
- The team is also going to be without defensive tackle Dwan Edwards who is dealing with a leg injury suffered against the Seahawks. The Panthers will have three healthy defensive tackles for this game with Star Lotulelei, Kawann Short and Kyle Love but expect the team to rotate Kony Ealy on passing downs to help give these three some extra rest over the course of the game.
- The Panthers brought up tight end Scott Simonson from their practice squad after Richie Brockel was place on injured reserve but Simonson won't suit up this week. The team also made Dean Marlowe, Brandon Wegher and Kevin Norwood healthy scratches for this week.
