- The Carolina Panthers had three players sit out of practice on Wednesday including two along the offensive line with center Ryan Kalil and Andrew Norwell out today. Kalil has been battling an ankle injury that forced him to sit out against the Colts and Norwell has a hamstring injury that Ron Rivera described as, " He got a pretty good one."
- Rivera also said that the team sent cornerback Josh Norman home due to a sickness. Charlotte Observer's Jonathan Jones said it was due to strep but Rivera would not confirm that during his press conference today.
- The team did get linebacker Shaq Thompson back today who practiced in full, which is a great sign as he recovers from a knee injury. If the defense is able to get the rookie back this week, it will be a nice boost for this group against a mobile quarterback like Aaron Rodgers.
