- The Carolina Panthers have already ruled out Andrew Norwell for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins with a hamstring injury. This shouldn't come as a huge surprise as Norwell was not able to practice at all this week. Even though it will be a short week, Norwell may be available for Thursday's game against the Cowboys.
- There is two names on this list that may be a surprise and also don't seem likely to play Sunday. Wide receiver Philly Brown injured his shoulder on Thursday during practice and sat out Friday's practice. If he is not able to go expect rookie Devin Funchess to get his first career start.
- Cornerback Charles Tillman also looks likely to miss this week's game with a hip injury and would be replaced by Bene Benwikere. This shouldn't be a huge deal as Benwikere was the starter at the end of last year and has experience playing on the outside. The Panthers will then turn to Colin Jones for the nickel, which is a position he played at the end of last year.
- It also appears likely that Dwan Edwards will be returning to action for the first time since he suffered an ankle injury against the Seattle Seahawks. This will be a nice boost to the depth at defensive tackle and will give the team a true four man rotation at the position.
