The Carolina Panthers found out on Monday, according to the team's site, that their Week 13 divisional matchup against the New Orleans Saints was flexed by the NFL and will now be played at 4:25 EST as part of a doubleheader on FOX.
The last time the Panthers have already played the Saints this year, back in Week 3. The team was able to win a 27-22 thriller as Josh Norman was able to break up a pass in the endzone to secure the victory. The last trip to New Orleans also ended with a victory as the Panthers ran away from the Saints, winning 41-10.
The NFL instituted flex scheduling in 2006 as a way to promote some of the marquee matchups later in the season in primetime slots. If the Panthers continue to stay undefeated this may not be the only game that could be moved as the team has two games against the Atlanta Falcons and a trip to New York to face the Giants from Week 14-16.
