- The injury list looks longer than it should but when players miss practice, for any reason, they are added to the injury report. The Carolina Panthers on Wednesday gave a number of their vets the day off and that is why they are all on the injury report for Week 14.
- There are two players that don't look like to play with Charles Tillman being the biggest concern. The veteran cornerback has been dealing with a knee injury for a few weeks now and finally got a chance to test it this week. However, it did not respond as well as hoped and he was limited every day of practice. The team will remain cautious and it would be hard to imagine him on the field Sunday. The team is in much better shape to deal with the injury though as Cortland Finnegan played well in his first game with the team and should be an excellent addition in the nickelback role. Bene Benwikere will start on the outside in place of Tillman.
- The other player not likely to be on the field will be Brenton Bersin, who missed every practice this week with a groin injury. He was most likely going to be inactive anyway with Philly Brown back from his injury, so this isn't a huge loss for the team.
- This game should also mark the return of defensive end Mario Addison, who had an ankle injury that forced him out of the game against the Saints. The Panthers will probably keep Ryan Delaire inactive to create the roster spot for Addison.
