  • Carolina Panthers' head coach Ron Rivera announced during his press conference on Thursday that the team would be without running back Jonathan Stewart for a second consecutive week. It sounds like the Panthers are trying to be cautious with their star back and are focused on making sure he is healthy for the playoffs. The team will turn to Cameron Artis-PayneFozzy Whittaker and Mike Tolbert to carry the load for this offense.
  • The only other player to miss practice on Thursday was linebacker David Mayo who is battling a hamstring injury. He missed Sunday's game against the Giants and will most likely be out again this week after missing practice this week.
  • The team added Cam Newton to the injury report but it was only due to him leaving practice early to handle a personal matter, according to this tweet by Charlotte Observer's Jonathan Jones.
