The Carolina Panthers ruled out Jonathan Stewart and David Mayo on Friday. These are the rest of the players who will be inactive today for the Panthers against the Atlanta Falcons.

  • The Carolina Panthers will be without their star running back for the second consecutive game as Jonathan Stewart deals with a foot injury. Last week, the team wasn't sure who would be the featured back in this offense. I would expect after Cameron Artis-Payne's performance against the Giants he has earned the chance to start the game.
  • The team will also be without linebacker David Mayo for the second consecutive week and this could be a big hit to the special teams unit. The Panthers will be facing one of the best return men ever in the NFL, Devin Hester, who could be a deciding factor in this game if he gets going.
  • The other player missing today is defensive tackle Kyle Love, who is in the concussion protocol. The Panthers will have five defensive ends active today and the coaching staff may use Kony Ealy inside to replace some of Love's snaps.
  • There isn't any other real surprises as Brenton BersinKevin NorwoodBrandon Wegher, and Dean Marlowe have been healthy scratches for most of the season.
