Carolina Panthers Inactives for NFC Divisional Round Playoff Game Against the Seattle Seahawks

After having last week off, the Carolina Panthers are back on the field today taking on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Divisional Round. These are the Panthers' inactives for today's game.

  • There were no big surprises in the Carolina Panthers inactives for their first playoff game of the season. The biggest name on this list is running back Fozzy Whittaker, who suffered a high ankle sprain in the second to last regular season game against the Atlanta Falcons. The injury isn't a huge deal considering Jonathan Stewart is back from his own injury and should see the majority of the carries. Rookie Cameron Artis-Payne will serve as the primary backup to Stewart.
  • Wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. is active today after being listed as questionable on the injury report. He missed practice on Friday but it sounded as it was more precautionary than anything and as ESPN's Ed Werder reported Ron Rivera said that Ginn looked 'spry' yesterday. He should be playing with no limitations today.

  • One interesting thing to note is that the Panthers will only have four cornerbacks active for today's game with Louis Young inactive. The team will go with only Josh NormanRobert McClainCortland Finnegan and Teddy Williams however Williams has played only 52 career snaps at the position and is primarily a special teams player. If there is an injury, the team may look to Colin Jones, who is the backup safety but did play nickelback last year for this defense.
