Notes

  • There is plenty on the line for the Carolina Panthers this Sunday in their upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals. The biggest name on the list is obviously Jonathan Stewart, who suffered an ankle injury in the second half against the Seattle Seahawks. The injury doesn't seem to be causing Ron Rivera much concern as he said they are easing him back into action but he will be available Sunday, according to NFL.com Dan Hanzus.
  • The other notable player missing was Jared Allen, who suffered a broken bone in his foot against the Seahawks. Rivera said earlier this week that he thought he was doubtful, leaving the door open for him to play against the Cardinals. On Wednesday, Rivera said he has progressed nicely but was still doubtful.

  • The practice today marked the return of running back Fozzy Whittaker, who suffered a high ankle sprain against the Atlanta Falcons and missed the last two games. Barring any kind of setback, he should be available for the NFC Conference Championship Game.
