Carolina Panthers Inactives for the NFC Conference Championship Game

The Carolina Panthers have announced their inactives for tonight's game, a group that includes a starting defensive end.

  • As expected, the Carolina Panthers are going to be without defensive end Jared Allen, who suffered a fracture in his foot last week. The team is expected to start Kony Ealy in his place. They have also activated Ryan Delaire, who has been inactive for most of the second half of the season after Charles Johnson returned from injured reserve.
  • The team will have their top two running backs for the first time since November with Jonathan Stewart and Fozzy Whittaker both active today. Stewart missed the last three games of the season and Whittaker missed the regular season finale and last week against the Seattle Seahawks. The return of Whittaker will provide a major boost to the kickoff return game as he is the primary returner.
  • The return of Whittaker also means that Cameron Artis-Payne will be inactive for today's game.
