Super Bowl 50: Carolina Panthers' Injury Report After Practice on Wednesday

The Carolina Panthers were back on the practice field Wednesday as they prepare to face the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50. The positive was that they had almost every player participate in a full capacity Wednesday.

  • The Carolina Panthers had only one player not practice fully on Wednesday and that was defensive end Jared Allen. As ESPN's Ed Werder reported, Allen was given the day off by head coach Ron Rivera. The Panthers' defensive end did miss the NFC Conference Championship Game with a fractured foot but practice fully all last week. He should be back on the practice field tomorrow in a full capacity.

  • The best news of the day though was Thomas Davis, not only practicing, but being a full participant. He suffered a fractured forearm against the Arizona Cardinals and had surgery 24 hours later to have a plate put in his arm. He was held out of practice all last week but looks like he is on track to play Sunday.
  • The only other player on the injury report was Mike Tolbert, however he was also a full participant in practice on Wednesday. The coaching staff has to like where this team is health wise as they head into the biggest game of the season.
