One day after hosting a free football clinic in Chicago, Kawann Short threw out the first pitch before the Chicago White Sox faced the Atlanta Braves. The Carolina Panthers' defensive tackle played high school football at East Chicago Central High School and got to throw the pitch out for one of the hometown teams on Sunday.
It was a busy weekend for Short as he had over 250 boys and girls participate in a free youth football clinic. He hosted the clinic at his high school on Saturday, according to LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune. He wasn't alone as a few teammates from Purdue and even former teammate Josh Norman who was in attendance.
The White Sox lost to the Braves Sunday by a final score of 2-0
