The Carolina Panthers had two players who are fighting for roster spots, miss portions of practice Friday night due to injuries. According to Ron Rivera, Wes Horton injured his right wrist and Larry Webster suffered a hamstring injury.
Both of these players are squarely on the roster bubble and have been fighting for a roster spot with the Panthers. Horton is entering his fourth season with the Panthers because is coming off a season that was cut short due to a four game suspension for violating the NFL's performance enhancing drug policy.
The Panthers released Horton after his suspension but re-signed him to the practice squad during the postseason.
Webster was signed by the Panthers to a futures contract and is in his first season with the team. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft but was one of their final cuts prior to the 2015 season.
