Head coach John Fox has confidence in starting quarterback Rodney Peete and doesn't think Rodney has done anything to lose his starting job that he won in last years training camp.
"I don't think Rodney Peete has done anything to lose his job. I think Jake and Chris have both been pushing him as far as getting better. As far as who is named the starter, I always like to wait until all of the information is in and go from there," said Fox. "Right now, I would feel comfortable with all of them. I think Rodney brings us a little bit more experience at the position. That is the way I see it at this stage."
Peete knows that he has to produce in the regular season unlike the pre-season if this team is going to be successful.
"We want to score," said Peete. "That is the thing we haven't done, especially the first unit. That is something that we would like to get accomplished in that first quarter. Other than that, it is just to be as sharp as we can with the plays that we are running."
Peete knows that the back-up are ready to start if he goes down with an injury like he did last year.
"The other quarterback's we have on this team are very good and if they have to come in a start they will do a great job running this team," said Peete.
