"There was no question that Jake came in and sparked
our offense. It is never an easy decision. I thought Rodney was a little bit of
a victim of circumstance. He had a couple of drops and a couple of breakdowns in
protection," said Fox. "Rodney, even at the change yesterday, handled it
like a real professional. I have the utmost respect for him. He was over on the
sideline working with Jake and helping Jake. I expect more of the same as we get
prepared for Tampa Bay."
Fox said that he did consider starting Delhomme
after the per-season but went with Peete.
"I thought we had good production at the position. I
felt very comfortable with the growth of all three quarterbacks. There wasn't a
huge gap between one and three," said Fox.
Delhomme is looking forward to leading this
team on Sunday.
"I just ready to learn and practice as hard as I can and get this team in a place to win on Sunday angst Tampa Bay. Last week I prepared as if I was the starter, this week I am and now I will just get more reps in practice," said Delhomme.
