- Coach John Fox thought running back DeShaun Foster, who took Davis' place and made his first start Sunday, did a good job.
"You have to remember that DeShaun hasn't played a lot," Fox said. "He missed the whole season last year. He missed almost the entire preseason this year. And then he's had only spot carries throughout the season thus far (until Sunday).
"I thought he did a good job. He made some good runs in particular around the perimeter. I also thought there were some runs he could have read better. He's not totally oiled up at this point. But I thought (Sunday) was a great experience for him."
-Fox says that it is too soon to tell if Stephen Davis will be able to play on Sunday against the Redskins.
"If we deem that he can't play, he won't play. It is something that we will evaluate just like we did this past week," Fox said.
-Defensive end Mike Rucker was on crutches after the game on Sunday, but Fox said that Rucker seems fine.
"He was evaluated, and (team physicians) feel good about it," Fox said. "We'll know more Wednesday (after the players take today off), but he felt much better than he did right after the game."
-Fox said that wide receiver Kevin Dyson is day to day. Dyson returned to the practice field last week for the first time since tearing an Achilles' tendon during June.
