Linebacking Corps Gets Thinner

For the third straight week, the Panthers have lost a linebacker to injury. First, it was top pick Dan Morgan, who is expected to be out for, at least, two more weeks with a broken leg. Next up were Dean Wells (back spasms) and Hannibal Navies (ribs). Navies didn't play against New Orleans, Wells was forced into action when Kory Minor got hurt. Now, Minor will be out for four weeks with a sprained MCL.

As stated, Wells did play against New Orleans, and is expected to go this week, Navies is questionable at this point. Nate Hemsley is available. He got significant playing time against the Saints despite being on the roster for only two weeks.

Reserve cornerback Deveron Harper suffered a pulled hamstring against the Saints, he's expected to miss two weeks. Receiver Muhsin Muhammad, who left Sunday's game early with a thigh bruise, is expected to play against Washington. Whether or not he practices Wednesday remains to be seen.
