--RB Stephen Davis is questionable for this week's game with a strained quadriceps. He ran for 115 yards in the last meeting with the Eagles, a 25-16 Carolina loss.
--RB DeShaun Foster will start if Stephen Davis doesn't play this week. Foster did not play in the first meeting with the Eagles because of a broken bone in his finger. Foster is now healthy, running for 95 yards last week against the Rams.
--RB Nick Goings, who had a season-high six carries on Saturday, could see more action this week if Stephen Davis is unable to play.
--WR Steve Smith continues to play like a guy who should have gone to the Pro Bowl. Smith had six receptions for 163 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown in double overtime against the Rams. He has back-to-back 100-yard receiving games and two TDs in the postseason.
--QB Jake Delhomme battled back from a slow start on Saturday to complete 11 of 17 passes for 228 yards and a touchdown after halftime.
--SS Jarrod Cooper is expected to return to practice this week after missing last week's game with a hamstring injury.
