GAME PLAN VS EAGLES

MATCHUPS TO WATCH: Eagles QB Donovan McNabb vs. Panthers MLB Dan Morgan -- McNabb ran for 107 yards against the Green Bay Packers last week in the NFC Divisional Playoffs and his scrambling ability kept the Packers off guard. The Panthers hope Dan Morgan will keep McNabb from picking up that type of yardage. Morgan has outstanding speed and, when healthy, is one of the league's top young middle linebackers.

The Panthers proved last week they aren't afraid to open up the offense, and that's just fine with their receivers. But Carolina head coach John Fox won't stray too far from the team's running game even if the Panthers are without Stephen Davis.

The Eagles have given up an average of 160 yards per game on the ground over the last 12 games.

It's vital for the Panthers to control the ball on the ground and keep the Eagles offense off the field and the crowd quiet.

Defensively, the Panthers will continue to do what they've been doing, but must contain Donovan McNabb. The Panthers have struggled at times defending mobile quarterbacks like Michael Vick and McNabb.

They're playing superb football the last four weeks and may give the Panthers should be able to limit the Eagles offensive production.
