Stephen Davis was a key to Sunday's win against the Philadelphia Eagles when most questioned all week if he would play. Panther Insider had a chance to get some of his thoughts after Sunday's big win.
Panther Insider: How where you able to play on Sunday after suffering the injury you did the Saturday before against the Rams?
Stephen Davis: All the credit goes out to the trainers and my running back coach for getting both myself and DeShaun (Foster) ready to play.
Panther Insider: It looked like you and DeShaun kind of spilt the carries on Sunday, was that a plan?
Stephen Davis: Yes, that was I was going to be in there when we went to more two-tight end sets and DeShaun was going to be in there when we went to our three wide receiver package.
Panther Insider: What was your thoughts going in to Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles and how you guys could attack them?
Stephen Davis: Well we say on film what the Packers where able to do against them running the football and we thought that since we are a good running team that we could have some success against them in the running game.
Panther Insider: Did you feel like you where 100% in this game?
Stephen Davis: Well I wasn't 100% but I was close, the trainers and the coaching staff did a great job getting me ready to play this game. I will be 100% when we play in the Super Bowl.
Panther Insider: When you signed with the Panthers did you think this team had a shot to go to the Super Bowl?
Stephen Davis: Well in the NFL every team has a shot to go to the Super Bowl you just have to make the most of your opportunities.
Panther Insider: Thanks a lot for your time.
