"It was toss to the right, Brad Hoover cut down (Eagles safety) Brian Dawkins and he kind of made a play to come back up the field as I cut back up. I was trying to make a play to come back in and it was just heart," said Foster about the play."
Foster knows that he will need more of the what he has been doing in the playoff is the Panthers are going to beat New England and win the Super Bowl. The Panthers have been running the ball effectively, rushing for an average of 159.3 yards in three playoff games and producing a rushing touchdown in each game. Foster in the past two games against St. Louis and Philadelphia when he has played has accounted for 155 rushing yards.
"We are high on the running game right now, it feels good to have the O-line block for us the way that they do", said Foster. "As long as they are having a good game, Stephen (Davis) and I will be able to run. We are controlling the games. We ran the ball real well in those games. As long as we are running the ball well and keeping it out of the opponents' hands, they can't do anything if they don't have the ball."
Foster is looking forward to the Super Bowl and hopes he gets a chance to play and have an impact on the game.
"Stephen will be 100% and he will be a big factor, all I want to do is win the game," said Foster. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes to win if they ask he to run the football, catch the ball, block whatever it takes to win the game."
When the Panthers throw the football Foster has confidence in quarterback Jake Delhomme and get the ball to the wide receivers.
"When we do throw, Jake is hitting the open man, and Steve (Smith) and Muhsin (Muhammad) and Ricky (Proehl) are just going out and doing what they can when we do call pass plays. Everybody wants to make that play so when we do call a pass play, they are ready to go out there and make something happen."
Foster knows that the Panthers are a team and that all the guys on the team are willing to do whatever it takes to win.
"It's good to have a bunch of guys out there who just want to play hard. We have a couple of big names that play well for us, but it's just an all-around team effort and that is what you need to win games," said Foster.
