The Panthers will likely be without top receiver Muhsin Muhammad when they take on Atlanta. Muhammad is battle soreness in both shoulders. According to George Seifert, he hurt one in the St. Louis game two weeks ago, and the other last week against San Francisco.
Muhammad hasn't practiced this week, making him unlikely to play.
Muhammad hasn't been nearly the force this year that he was in recent years. There have been many occasions that Chris Weinke hasn't been looking his way, and there have been a handful of dropped passes in key situations.
With Muhammad out, look for Patrick Jeffers to get his first significant playing time of the year.
