Morgan, Muhammad, Peppers named NFC Starters

On Sunday, February 13, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Middle Linebacker Dan Morgan, Wide Receiver Muhsin Muhammad and Defensive End Julius Peppers will each start at their respective positions when the NFL plays the 2005 Pro Bowl. The game will be broadcast live at 7:30 PM ET by ESPN and CBS Radio.

Muhammad and Peppers were named to The Associated Press All Pro team last week as well.

"Obviously, I am very proud of how my season went individually," said Muhammad, who will make his second Pro Bowl appearance in his career. "Collectively, I thought we left a lot on the table. I would like to thank Jake and our offensive line. Everyone did a great job this year, and I just played my part in the whole scheme of things. I think it is quite an honor to be named All-Pro."

Peppers had perhaps his best season yet as a pro.

2 interceptions for 143 yards and 1 touchdown, 11 sacks, 6 passes defended, 85 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 31 quarterback hurries, 85 tackles and 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown were just some of the amazing things from the third-year defensive end out of North Carolina.

"We have the talented core on both sides of the ball to come back and be a playoff team," Peppers said. "But we've got to attack the off-season and get better. We all know what we came from, and that's just something to build on. We're going to get a couple of our big guns back. We'll get some help where we need help. We definitely have the talent to be a playoff team."

"It's just a matter of whether we get it together. I know we will. We just have to just work hard in the off-season and try to put everything together."
