According to Darin Gantt of the Rock Hill Herald, Panthers C/G Bruce Nelson failed his physical on Thursday.
Although Panthers General Manager Marty Hurney said the team would take a wait and see approach, it's likely that the team will come to an injury settlement with Nelson, the teams' second round draft pick from 2003.
Once thought of as a potential starting Guard, Nelson had surgery in 2004 to repair torn labrums in both hips, and has not been able to return.
