All picks signed, ready to go

SPARTANBURG, SC – The Carolina Panthers will enter camp with all their picks signed and ready to go. This is the second year in a row that the Panthers have been able to get all of their draft picks signed and in camp on time.

Second round pick Eric Shelton of Louisville was the first to come to terms today, however details of the deal were not immediately available. Shelton had 20 touchdowns for the Cardinals last year, and figures to be a big part of the Panthers' rushing attack as Stephen Davis continues to rehab from microfracture surgery. Davis will likely be placed on the PUP list along with G Bruce Nelson, who's been recovering from hip surgeries for more than a year.

The Panthers didn't stop there. Shortly after agreeing to terms with Shelton, the Panthers finalized a deal with their top draft pick, S/LB Thomas Davis out of Georgia. Davis will sign a 5 year deal worth $10 million, nearly $8 million guaranteed.

The Panthers begin two-a-days tomorrow Morning at 9:00 am at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. Their first night practice is Monday, August 1st at 7pm. It is free and open to the public.
