Panthers Injury Update - 10-12

Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme suffered a quadriceps bruise in Sunday's game, but said afterward that while it may be a little sore "for a few days" he doesn't expect to miss any practice time this week.

"It was bothering him but not to the point where he felt like he had to come out of the game," Panthers coach John Fox said Monday. "It is probably a little more sore today than it was yesterday.

"When it happened, he was limping around pretty good, and we were getting ready to get ready if we had to make that move (change quarterbacks). But he felt fine and looked OK after that, so it loosened up. He spent a lot of time on the sideline keeping it loose, because you don't want that to tighten up."

The injury came when an Arizona linebacker delivered a late hit on Delhomme in the fourth quarter. It drew a 15-yard penalty.

In other injury news, fullback Brad Hoover has a sore shoulder and linebacker Dan Morgan suffered from dehydration on Sunday and will be day-to-day this week.

Also, the Panthers will monitor the health of linebacker Vinny Ciurciu (knee) and returner Rod Smart (groin), both of whom missed Sunday's game.
