Kasay on the Hot Seat?

The Carolina Panthers are getting a little concerned over the number of missed field goals by veteran kicker John Kasay. The normally reliable Kasay missed a 45-yard field goal wide right on Sunday just one week after missing from 46 yards at Chicago.

Kasay, who started the season making his first eight field goals, has now missed six of his last eight attempts from beyond 40 yards.

That has left head coach John Fox a little frustrated.

"That's two weeks in a row we have missed makeable field goals that affect the outcome of the game. We have to get that cleaned up," Fox said.

When asked if it was a problem with the snap or hold, Fox said, "No, we just have to make those field goals."

Kasay is the lone member of the Panthers team remaining from the original squad back in 1995.
