Charlotte, NC- The Panthers are expecting quarterback Rodney Peete to start against the Saints on Sunday.
His injured left knee was surgically repaired on October 15.
"I'm getting my mindset ready to go that I'm going to play on Sunday. Today was really the first day I got back and really went through a practice. It felt pretty good," said Pette. "The soreness, a lot of it's gone away The biggest key is how it feels tomorrow after going through today's practice. I hope it doesn't flair up tomorrow and I'll be able to go on Sunday."
Peete has full mobility and feels he will be able to do everything in the game that he did before he was injured. Peete also feels that the layoff was short enough so that it didn't affect his timing on pass routs.
