New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was involved in a two car accident in Boston Thursday morning. According to reports Brady seems to be OK. He walked away from the accident and was expected at Gillette Stadium to be evaluated by the team's medical staff.
Brady apparently was on his way to the stadium when his black Audi slammed into a Red Ford minivan. According to reports, the minivan allegedly ran a red light at an intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Gloucester Avenue near Brady's home.
Emergency response workers reportedly had to extract one person from the minivan using Jaws of Life. That person was brought to the hospital with injuries described as serious.
The Patriots released a statement via twitter:
"Patriots QB Tom Brady was in a car accident this morning. He was not hospitalized and is expected at Gillette Stadium today."
Subsequent updates indicate that Brady is shaken, but OK after the accident. He is expected to participate in practice today.
The Patriots play the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at Foxborough.
