DRAFT: RGIII Draws Big Crowd

The Washington Redskins have sent a strong contingent to view the workout of Baylor QB Robert Griffin III. But they're not alone, over 200 NFL scouts, personnel, coaches and media on hand.

WACO, Texas -- Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III drew an epic audience for his Pro Day on Wednesday, with at least 200 league scouts, coaches and media signed in for the event in Waco.

Among the masses -- a full flock of Redskins' folk, including owner Daniel Snyder, GM Bruce Allen, coach Mike Shanahan and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, plus two scouts. The Colts are there, too, with GM Ryan Grigson present before he ships off for the Andrew Luck workout in Palo Alto on

Thursday, when Stanford holds its own campus workout.

Griffin and possible first-round pick Kendall Wright highlight the talent at Baylor. The school agreed to move the event, originally scheduled for Thursday, up to avoid the direct conflict with Luck and Stanford.

The Colts, who have the No. 1 overall pick in April's draft, have confirmed they are drafting a quarterback but to date haven't confirmed the rising speculation that Luck will be the player chosen to replace Peyton Manning.

The Redskins traded their 2012 first-round pick, No. 6 overall, two future first-round picks and a second-round selection to the Rams for the No. 2 pick in the 2012 draft. Allen confirmed to The Sports Xchange the franchise is targeting a quarterback but pointed out that its really up to the Colts which one will be available to the Redskins
