INSIDER'S TAKE:   The Patriots aren't really looking for another Wes Welker, they have one, he's been retained with the Franchise Tag.  The team signed two new faces, Brandon Lloyd and Anthony Gonzalez, in free agency. They also re-signed Deion Branch, their original slot receiver.

If  other teams are looking for a Wes Welker type, they're going to have to establish a solid primary option.  When New England's offense was limited due to injuries, teams just doubled or even triple teams Welker to prevent the Patriots from establishing a rhythm.
