Report: Giants to try out three RBs

Desperate times, call for desperate measures and the New York Giants are recruiting veteran help to fix their problems at running back.

Tom Coughlin and his staff are clearly not pleased with the production and ball security of the Giants' running backs. After starter David Wilson fumbled twice and backup Da'Rel Scott mishandled an easy catch with turned into an interception for a touchdown, Big Blue is in the hunt for a veteran tailback.

Willis McGahee, Brandon Jacobs and Joe McKnight will reportedly visit the Giants' Quest Diagnostics Training Center this week. McGahee was released by the Denver Broncos in June. Jacobs spent his first seven years with the Giants before joining the San Francisco 49ers last season. McKnight was released by the two weeks ago, following a laundry list of on and off the field issues including a failed conditioning test, concussion symptoms, outstanding traffic warrants and engaging in fights with fans over twitter.

Big Blue is clearly in dire straits as it tries to solve its rushing woes.
