Patriots Injury Update / Quick Hits

--PK Adam Vinatieri missed a 42-yard field goal try wide to the left on his first attempt Sunday for his fourth miss in five tries. He missed only three kicks all of last season to lead the NFL with a 90 percent accuracy rate (27-for-30), but is now just 7-for-11 including 2-for-6 from beyond 30 yards. His miss two weeks ago ultimately cost the Patriots in a 20-17 loss.

--RT Tom Ashworth, making his third career start, held his own as best as could be expected against NFL single-season sack leader Michael Strahan, who finished with five tackles and two sacks. "We had trouble with their defense," Belichick confirmed. "Strahan was a problem. Michael Barrow was a problem. But Strahan didn't ruin the game. We schemed to give him as few opportunities as possible."

--WR Troy Brown caught one pass in the game to extend his consecutive games with a catch streak to 59, just four behind the Patriots' record of 63, held by former tight end Ben Coates.

--LB Roman Phifer equaled his career high with 19 tackles in the win. He last reached that total on Sept. 8, 1996, while playing for the Rams in a game at San Francisco.

--LB Tedy Bruschi set a career high with 16 tackles in the game, eclipsing his previous best of 14, done twice in his career, last against the Bills on Nov. 28, 1999.
