Happy Ending

Ben Watson, the Patriots other 1st round draft pick ended his 18 day holdout, by agreeing to terms on a 6 year contract earlier today.

Watson will join his team shortly. After missing so much time, he will need to put in extra work after practice in order to catch up to the veterans already on the roster.

Watson, who changed agents last week, instructed his new agent Pat Dye Jr, to get a deal done. After first seeing the contract negotiations on Friday, Dye faxed his first proposal to the team on Sunday. It didn't take long for both sides to come together and get the rookie signed.

Watson will immediately upgrade the depth at the TE position, which has been impacted by both injury and roster cuts. Look for Watson to push Daniel Graham and Christian Fauria for a starting job.
