The Patriots had their best practice of the week Friday at Bartram Trail High School in the estimation of coach Bill Belichick. Execution was crisper with the game drawing near.
I think the players are excited and ready to play, Belichick said. Its been two weeks, there have been a lot of things to deal with, but were getting close and their excitement level for the game is starting to build up, which is where you want it.
It helped that the conditions were the best they had been all week. It was windy and cold at the start of practice, but the sun crept out and the temperature began to rise. The field had dried out considerably from the previous day.
All of the Patriots participated in the practice, including defensive lineman Richard Seymour, who wore a brace on his injured knee.
After practice, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, linebacker Mike Vrabel, center Dan Koppen and running back Corey Dillon spoke to students and employees of Bartram Trail in the schools courtyard, thanking them for the hospitality. Said Vrabel, If you need tickets, Ill let you guys know Dan Koppen has two extras.
