The New England Patriots defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in a game of big plays. You could say it was a game full of plays that had a significant impact on the momentum of each team. Just when Philadelphia was about to tie it up, they turned the ball over. Just when the Patriots were about to put the game away, they turned the ball over.

Both teams were ready to play, yet the outcome wasn't determined until the final 17 seconds of the fourth quarter, when the Eagles, in a last ditch effort to get into field goal range to tie the game, made one final critical mistake. Philadelphia quarterback, Donovan McNabb overthrew tight end LJ Smith on a deep seam route that was tipped by smith into the hands of a waiting Rodney Harrison for the interception that sealed the Patriots victory.

McNabb had a good statistical game in terms of yardage, but it was his 3 turnovers which turned the tide in this game. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady made no such mistakes, although he did have a red-zone fumble that killed a scoring opportunity late in the second quarter. The Patriots managed to score anyway in the first half on the next drive, and effectively climb back into the game from there.
